On 25 August, the August Dice Chess tournament took place at the “3+2” Chess Club. Six double rounds were played with a time control of 5 minutes + 3 seconds.
The tournament drew 35 participants – considering that the maximum possible number was 36, that is a fantastic result!

⚔️ The fight for first place
First place was decided in the final round, when the top two boards saw Marija Kuzņecova face Jegors Čemišovs and Keitija Lazdiņa face Maksims Ivanišvili. This time the boys came out on top in both matches, beating their opponents 2-0.
Since both finished on the same number of points, first place came down to the tiebreaks, which favoured Jegors Čemišovs. Congratulations to the winner!
