On April 2nd in Stockholm, the Wasa Chess Club hosted an internal Dice Chess tournament. For the first time, club members were introduced to the game of Dice Chess and immediately dove into the captivating experience that blends the strategy of classical chess with the element of chance introduced by rolling dice.
The tournament featured 10 participants representing four countries — Sweden, Jordan, Iceland, and Germany. The format included 5 double rounds, meaning each player played two games against every opponent — a total of 10 games.
The tournament took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, sparking great interest and many positive emotions. Many participants noted that Dice Chess was a delightful discovery and that the format brought a sense of freshness and fun to classical chess. By the end of the event, there were enthusiastic suggestions to hold such gatherings more often — Dice Chess has definitely found fans at the Wasa club.
