Girls triumph in the Latvian Chess School Olympiad Dice Chess tournament 2022!

Another Dice Chess tournament was held in cooperation with LŠF and the School Chess Olympiad Festival in Riga, Lomonosova Street 1, on the premises of the Transport and Communications Institute (TSI).

42 students from all over Latvia participated in the tournament. The tournament was played using the Swiss system (6 double rounds) with a time control of 5 minutes + 5 seconds per move for each player.

In a fierce fight, with 9 points at the finish line, Anastasija Parhomenko held the victory, ahead of Marija Kuzņecova only after additional indicators.
The battle for bronze was no less tense and was won by Emīls Jānis Mieriņš (8 points).

The three best girls were also awarded – Jekaterina Hlopkova (8 points), Vilhelmīne Tronenkova (7 points), and Elizabeth Kokina (7 points).
